New tech + old silhouette = revived classic.
While the adidas Superstar 80’s never really left, the iconic silhouette was dated with its colorways and materials. Now, adidas wants to revive the classic model with Primeknit. Using the woven material on the upper as the only new addition to the silhouette, the cushion setup and shell toe remains the same as it was in the ’80s. While it would have been nice to see a drop in Boost midsole for another layer of comfort, it looks like adidas is taking baby steps in the right direction.
Both colorways are set to release on August 1 at adidas Consortium accounts like End Clothing. Are you guys excited for Primeknit on the adidas Superstar 80s? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
If they through some targeted boost in the shell toes, or hide the boost in the shell toes the way they did within the yeezy boost omgosh I would be so delighted.
threw not through, ugh, so much for being college educated
even then that’s not even a word. smh T_T hella kawawa
did you not click the link where it says “drop in boost midsole”? check that article out.
The primeknit looks really nice on this model, much better than the stan Smith primeknit that released a while back.
I never even peeped how bad primeknit destroys fly knit until today while wearing my ultra boosts to the nike outlet.
Fly knit just felt so stiff in comparison.
I like how adidas is tech upgrading a model without destroying the look of the OG here.
