Chris mentioned a favorite New Balance sneaker of his in the New Balance 990v6 video. This is the one: the New Balance 574 Legacy. It is a retro-looking sneaker that brings with it modern comfort. The midsole is dual-density EVA with an extra polyurethane section in the heel. Again, it doesn’t sound like much, but you have to wear it to believe it.
