The Jordan React Elevation is a (very) under the radar Jordan Brand performance basketball shoe that recently began appearing at various retailers. WearTesters team member Jalique Gabay was able to purchase a pair and has them in hand for a detailed look and review.
Since he purchased the React Elevation, the retailer he bought them from removed the shoe from its site. Is that because we haven’t reached the official release date yet? We don’t know. The Jordan React Elevation did recently pop up at Jimmy Jazz if you’re interested in purchasing.
In the video, Jalique dives into his extended thoughts. He talks about the initial leak where the sneaker blogs thought the React Elevation was the Jumpman Diamond 2. The resemblance to the Jordan Why Not Zero.2 also comes up and Jalique explains why he thinks this colorway is more Joker than Buzz Lightyear.
And of course, Jalique talks about all the main performance categories:
Traction. The pattern is herringbone and circular utilizing translucent rubber.
Cushion. There’s bottom loaded Zoom Air in the forefoot and a bunch of React in the heel. It’s basically the same cushioning tech as the Converse G4 but implemented differently. And that’s a good thing.
Materials. Just your basic textiles and synthetics but Jalique goes into detail on each overlay.
Fit. Fit is a little tricky so watch Jalique talk about how you should size.
Support. There’s a torsion bar at the midfoot and you sit deep within the midsole.
At the end Jalique talks about how he thinks these will perform when he can test them on court (we’re still crossing our fingers that courts can open soon).
