Legendary Queensbridge icon Cormega, one of the most criminally underrated rappers of the last 20 years, has been recruited by Ewing Athletics for its latest 33 Hi collaboration.
Like with the Mikey Likes It Ice Cream x Ewing 33 Hi, Ewing has been joining forces with the people and brands in New York that are making moves. Mega, a big Ewing fan, had fans at Ewing that grew up listening to his music. Thus, the collaboration was just right.
Clothing brand 8&9 assisted in the design process of this premium grey suede 33 Hi. The heels flaunt bold MEGA embroidery and the shoe sits atop a translucent neon lime outsole.
The Cormega x 8&9 x Ewing 33 Hi will release in very limited numbers at a special launch event at Privilege NYC (84 Clinton St., NY, NY) on September 2 at 12 PM EDT (noon). An online release at ewingathletics.com will follow on September 6.

Cormega seems like a solid guy, but Ghost murdered him on his own **** on “Tony/Montana”, Nas dismissed him fast and he still doesn’t recite his own (dope) lyrics entertainingly enough to the point I’d give him his own sneaker. But props to Pat Ewing for revitalizing his line. It’s more popular now than it was in his heyday.
