The SF AF1 (Special Field Air Force 1) is a fashion-forward remake of the 1982 classic, designed by Bruce Kilgore. Now, there’s a new zippered version.
According to Nike, there have been over 2,000 different iterations of the Air Force 1. The latest build ditches the removable straps of the urban utility military-inspired SF AF1 boot and opts for a huge zipper closure and thick rope laces for easy on and off.
The new SF AF1 High features uppers constructed from ballistic-grade mesh and premium leather. Three new colorways — Total Orange, Rattan, and Black/Gum Medium Brown — will release in men’s sizes on November 2 for $200 each via the SNKRS app. It isn’t clear why, but ladies will have to wait until December 1 to grab a pair of the Rattan or Black/Gum Medium Brown colorways.
