The 1999 Nike Air Max Deluxe, a fan-favorite Air max model that is finally coming back to retail, will be available for women first.
Known for its place on dance floors of the ’90s rave scene, the Air Max Deluxe is a striking and energetic sneaker. This upcoming build flaunts a bright teal and orange upper with iridescent heel tabs and purple accents. TPU reinforcements give the shoe support and structure while the full-length Air unit takes care of cushioning.
When the Air Max Deluxe originally released, right before the turn of the century, it was overshadowed by much more popular sneakers; the Air Max Plus was flying off shelves alongside premium Air Jordan retros, the Air Max 97, and adidas’ Feet You Wear sneakers. Thus, the Air Max Deluxe never attained the level of fame of other Air Max builds did.
The Women’s Nike Air Max Deluxe releases on July 26 for $180 via the Nike SNKRS app. A Sequoia/Camper Green/Team Orange colorway, as well the build pictured here, will release in men’s sizing on August 16, according to leaker US11.
