The Way of Way 6 ‘First Born’ dropped over the weekend to celebrate the birthday of Zaire Wade, Dwyane Wade’s firstborn son.
With its black and metallic gold build, the colorway is simple and striking. Gold accents hit the tongues and heel tabs, and the shoe rides atop a solid rubber outsole.

We’ve received tons of comments here at WearTesters about sizes over 13 for the Way of Wade 6. Well, to appease the big-footers, WayofWade.com has stocked the Way of Wade 6 ‘First Born’ in U.S. sizes 7 to 15. Retail is set at $160.

That’s a beautiful colorway! And the knit pattern on the upper looks so much better in that all black. Can never go wrong with black and gold.
Very nice. Awesome they stepped up with the larger sizes too!
My Satori’s (Size 14.5) are supposed to be here tomorrow. I’ll be giving them a hard run out on the court later that evening.
Let me know how they fit/feel!! I ordered this colorway as well, I just love the WoW line especially what they did with the WOW 6 this year
I for sure will. I’m hoping the weather the last few days doesn’t delay delivery.
Just got done hooping in these and all I can say is, the hype is real on these. They were great right out of the gate. There’s a reason these were on the top of a lot of end of year lists. Great shoe.
Traction is excellent. The court we use on Tuesdays and Thursdays always gets a little dirty this time of year. And honestly, I had no traction problems. I’m not a ‘wiper’ (don’t like having dirty hands), but wouldn’t need to with these anyway.
Materials are great. The knit is super nice, I love my CEL Low’s Primeknit, and this knit on these is just as nice. The knit is very similar to my Jordan 32 Lows. Interior feel and padding is super plush. The insole is great too. They definitely didn’t go cheap on it. It’s a quality insole.
And the cushion, oh my, loved it. It’s a great balance between cushion and court feel. No break in needed either. The midsole feel is impressive.
Lock down is great with no heel slippage. You’re locked in. As you should be with today’s modern performance shoe.
This is the shoe the Jordan 32 should/could have been. If you’re nervous about trying these out, don’t be. This is a great looking AND performing shoe. It shipped from Florida, so it’s not like it’s shipping from overseas. Shipping time is equivalent to the shipping time when ordering from Adidas. Maybe even a day or two sooner.
Awesome glad to hear!! I have been just wearing them casually so far but would love to hoop in them one time! Did you end up adding an insole or did the 14.5 fit without one? So far the extra insole has made the sneaker fit great even with a little extra room in the length which I’m fine with. I prefer to have a little space and not have my foot feel tight in the forefoot. Anyway, happy to hear you enjoy them!
The fit on the 14.5 is just a hair big, but I didn’t think it was enough to necessitate adding an insole. I was locked down and just had to tighten the laces a little bit to start and I was good to go.
Tried half down with the Satori after getting the Sunset TTS. If you have a medium/neutral foot you could do either. I thought I was more immersed in the cushion TTS, but forefoot fit seemed more proper half down.
