VIDEO: Air Jordan 7 ‘Hare’ Retro vs. 1992 Original

Sole Collector is back with another Retrograde video, and this time around they are comparing the Air Jordan 7 Retro ‘Hare’ that drops this weekend to their 2008 CDP counterpart, and to the 1992 original.

By the looks of it… these don’t really look anything like the OG – which was the main focus of the whole ‘remastered’ thing, along with improved material quality and craftsmanship. Even the stitching was supposed to be back to OG form, but you can clearly see that isn’t the case. The 2008 version of the shoe actually had stitching closer to the OG than the 2015 does. I do like the toe shape of the ’08 & ’15 versions much more than the ’92 though. Something about the 7’s toe always ruined the shoe for me… but the newer ones seem to have a less awkward looking forefoot.

Check the video out for yourself, and let us know what you think about the differences between each year’s ‘Hare’ Jordan in the comment section below.

  1. I thought it was just me that had a problem with the toe box. It looks too long and the shoe ‘bananas’after several wears. The AJ6 has the same problem. The 6 & 7 are great display shoes, but lighter colorways tend to age too fast. Have any of the remasters matched the OG pair with at least 90% accuracy? The recent ‘Stealth’20s were an unwelcome change.
