We all love the re-release of Retro Jordans, even though it comes with an abundance of colorways that most of us don’t understand. However, it doesn’t seem to stop Jordan Brand from releasing them. Now, the latest in the same vein is the upcoming the ‘All-Star’ VI (6) colorway. With the All-Star Game moving from Charlotte to New Orleans, the upper materials get a very unique twist.
I believe this release commemorates the NBA All-Star Game’s return to New Orleansin 2017. The shoe features a faded and iridescent material that gives the shoe an extra pop of color. The rest of the tech specs stay the same as it is a retro model, yet not an officially labeled ‘Remastered” silhouette. This Air Jordan VI utilizes an Air unit in the heel, the classic pull tabs on the tongue and the heel, and 3M detailing along the ankle collar.
While some of you might question the concept or why JB would even release such colorway, it all comes down to what you think and if you’ll cop. The States release date for these are of course during 2017 All-Star Weekend, February 16, with a steep price tag of $225.
What do you think of the iridescent upper material? Any thoughts on the clear outsole having that same iridescent effect? Let us know what you think down in the comments.
Is the hexagon going to be part of the logo going forward? I’m still trying to understand the concept of retros costing more than new Jordans.
