Today we get up close and personal with the upcoming adidas Marquee Boost. The latest basketball shoe from The Three Stripes.
While we just laid eyes on a clean Black/White-Red colorway of the shoe, this deep red version is simply beautiful.
From its gum rubber outsole to the leather overlays — that I originally thought were Fuse overlays. The entire package blends elements of the classic adidas Top Ten with the brands more modern design language perfectly.
Knit and compression molded mesh are used as the main build from the forefoot to the collar. As long as you’re able to try the shoe on to get the perfect fit, these could prove to be wonderful on-court.
Strange to think an obscure model that we just recently heard of has piqued the interest of so many. Luckily, we don’t have to wait very long as multiple colorways are listed to be releasing on December 1 for $130. Low top versions of the adidas Marquee Boost are supposed to launch the same day for $120.
Feel free to share your thoughts on the adidas Marquee Boost and I’m eagerly waiting to see the rest of the colorways. If the first two we’ve seen look this good I can’t wait to see what else they’ve cooked up.

Not a fan. Is this supposed to be a performance model or a hybrid lifestyle model? Never thought I’d say this, but it looks like too much boost. How come adidas can’t trim the edges of the boost so the shoe doesn’t look like the
Just glued it to a block of boost that was lying around in the factory?
I kinda like the design but I already can see people pop out of their shoes when someone steps on the exposed boost at the rear end.
Top down view looks funky! But I like it, should look good on feet.
I like them a lot. The upper material looks comfortable, just hope the lockdown is good. These and the new TMac shoes seem like the most interesting models from Adidas as of late.
I could have sworn I saw a higher price listed for these a couple days ago……
Wide caged forefoot, traditional lacing, flex channel at the collar, presumably soft mesh, and herringbone. Only things I imagine going wrong is the sizing per usual Adidas and maybe quick-wearing rubber. Wish they brought back the heel counter from the Rose 7, though. You can see the Boost sticking out a lot here. I imagine it’ll be pretty squishy at the heel.
Something I noticed is the base is very wide on all sides. Its like having an outrigger all over the shoe. Stability should be great.
Something I hope they do is make a bunch of colorways with decently durable solid rubber. I hate it when a shoe is released and almost all the colorways have translucent. Boost has been around a while, no one is impressed by the sight of it anymore. You don’t need to show it off. Give us options.
is it really performance shoes or another athleisure/lifestyle…?
I’d like to see more colorways but I think the initial two that you guys covered look great. Also, leather around the eye stays is awesome. I think that is a nice touch.
