It’s officially summer — 92 degrees in New York confirms that — and with summer come triple white builds of your favorite kicks. Now, the Nike Epic React Flyknit and Air VaporMax 2 have gotten their triple white looks.
First, the Epic React Flyknit; it rides atop a foam slab that, according to Nike, is softer than EVA-based foams and is one-piece — no carrier, cement, or glue is added to the mix. Shallower portions of the foam slab are firmer while deeper parts feature more cushioning.
The Nike Epic React Flyknit has received a lot of attention since it dropped earlier this year. Recently, Nike released the Odyssey React, a less expensive build that uses all of the same tech as the Epic React except for the Flyknit. Second, the Air VaporMax 2 ‘Triple White’; the shoe, while nearly identical to the original VaporMax, adds support at the heel and structure at the toe for increased stability. Cushioning is supplied by the full-length VaporMax Air unit beneath the shoe, which doubles as both the outsole and midsole. Traction lugs are integrated beneath the Air unit so wearers don’t have to worry about popping
