Live streams on social media have become the new media outlet lately; teams like the Golden State Warriors have been live streaming press conferences with new star Kevin Durant, people live stream police brutality, the NBA is in talks to live stream content on Twitter, and even Jordan Brand unveiled the Jordan 30 live. Today, Under Armour and the Tottenham Hotspur unveiled the latest kits for the upcoming 2016-2017 season by live streaming on Facebook.
The Tottenham Hotspur and Under Armour unveiled the official home, away, and third shirts, as well as home and away goalie shirts. The official home shirt for the upcoming 2016-2017 season features a white base with navy blue detailing, a traditional look for the Tottenham Hotspur. Gold hits the trim along the v-neck collar and the sleeves. The away shirt features a navy blue base with gold accents throughout the shirt. The third shirt, much like an alternate jersey, is unique to the Tottenham Hotspur and is made from a gold base with navy blue pinstripes and trim along the v-neck and sleeves.
There are also two more shirts, both for the goalie, in home and away colors. The home shirt is made of a simple capri blue with navy blue accents and the away is an orange with navy blue accents.
All five shirts feature Under Armour’s fastest drying fabric alongside its Moisture Transport System to wick away sweat and keep the body dry. The fabric has built-in four way stretch patterns for total range of motion and mobility while also accelerating the time it takes for the fabric to dry and increasing ventilation.
Under Armour has made huge strides in soccer; it released two soccer boots that featured Speedform at the end of 2015 and signed the New York Cosmos in early 2016.
The Tottenham Hotspur and Under Armour kits are available now via Tottenham Hotspur’s official site. The home and away kits will be available at UA.com and select retailers on July 15.
