The Air Jordan 13 Retro Low release featuring the ‘Midnight Navy’ aka ‘Hornets’ colorway of the shoe is going to be part of the new remastered line of J’s.
According to Nike:
The Air Jordan 13 Retro Low returns after a brief hiatus, remastered and ready for summer. A brand-new colorway features a premium, white, tumbled leather upper with Midnight Navy around the heel and tongue. Turquoise Blue accents the Jumpman logo and outsole.
While the materials, shape, and minor details – such as the metal heel logo – seem to have returned close to OG form… the midsole still is suede-less. They can’t possibly be remastered if they are foregoing one of the more important design elements that made the OG Air Jordan 13 feel like such a premium hoop shoe back in ’97/ ’98. I know it’s a minor nitpick… but we need the suede back on the midsole if they’re going to be as close to the original as possible. Other than that… they look great.
The original release needed to be “remastered”? This is the first retro of the lows! Smells like bullshit. After watching the 30 for 30 on Sonny Vacarro last night, and seeing the skyrocketing prices for Nike shoes, I’d feel dirty falling for Nike’s bluster ever again.
I’m assume “remastered” means of the OGs, LS or Retro + styles that already released in the past; this Hornets cw is a first release.
