The Thunder Spectra, Puma’s on-trend bulky dad shoe, has been making waves Stateside and overseas after an instant sell-out. Now, artist Alexander John has unveiled a unique custom execution of the shoe.
Responsible for designing Golden Barbie’s Reebok Freestyle Hi ‘Contour’ collaboration and a stunning Way of Wade 5 ‘Golden Eagle’ custom for Dwyane Wade, Alexander John knows his way around a sneaker. Now, he’s added a lot more flair to the Puma Thunder Spectra, and even blessed it with some camo.
“The overall design concept of the PUMA Thunder seemed to be a abstract camouflage design,” wrote Alexander John on Instagram. “Take a look at the shapes of the materials to the layout of the sole it’s all there…I just wanted to compliment that!”
This Puma Thunder Spectra custom is a one of one for Chief Johnson, Puma’s Manager of Entertainment Marketing.
If you missed out on the first Thunder Spectra drop, Johnson says more pairs will be coming on May 25 at select retailers and Puma.com. The shoe retails for $120.
