Using updated weaving technologies to create knits that are a bit different than what the other brands are doing, the PUMA Blaze Knit has arrived. Its recent vamp change, from old school leather, synthetics, and mesh to PUMA’s new knit mesh upper, retain the classic look but offers lightness and breathability.
The new PUMA Blaze Knit differs from what other brands are doing in that it uses many different materials to create a mixed body and a more variable appearance. Unlike other wovens, the yarn in this shoe is produced as the underlying fabric and then the remaining elements are stacked and stitched together to give the shoe different textures and styles. Additionally, the design team weaves in material usually disposed of from the toe and tongue that allows the toes to stretch and splay nicely in a limited space.
The new woven, combined with their tried and true Trinomic cushioning technology that allows dispersion of plantar pressure, should make the PUMA Blaze Knit a good everyday shoe. The red colorway pictured here is available now in women’s sizes 5.5 – 11 at puma.com.
