Another Knicks-themed shoe surfaces online. This time around, it’s the Nike Flightposite in ‘Racer Blue’.
Likely paying homage to Allen Houston who used to wear the original Nike Flightposite during his days as a New York Knick, this pair of Flightposite’s sports a Racer Blue Foamposite build with Total Orange accents.
Retail is said to be $220, expensive for a Nike Sportswear release that isn’t quite as good as the original. However, the shoe is worth a purchase if you’re able to find them for a price you feel comfortable with as the internal cushioning system is completely removable. It features a PU insole with embedded heel and forefoot Zoom Air units — you can see what I’m talking about in the performance review video above. Being that the midsole is just slightly thicker than a standard insole, you can take this out and place it in any other shoe you’d like and have instant cushion.
If you were interested in grabbing the upcoming Nike Flightposite in ‘Racer Blue’ then they’ll release at Nike Sportswear retailers on March 2 for $220.
