The Jordan 6 Rings appears in a clean ‘Black/University Gold’ colorway.
The Jordan 6 Rings was once a beloved hybrid that has since had the majority of the sneakerhead population turn on the shoe for being what it is.
While most nowadays consider the Jordan 6 Rings to be a Frankenstein sneaker (which it is), it was welcomed with open arms by fans of the Jordan Brand and Michael Jordan himself when it originally released. As the shoe paid tribute to MJ’s six championship rings, it featured each of the seven sneakers he wore during each NBA Finals run.
The landscape has changed a bit since its initial release and now any hybrid sneaker is frowned upon — unless it’s a collaboration, of course.
However, if you’ve stayed true to your roots and still enjoy the Jordan 6 Rings, then you may enjoy this most recent colorway. It sports a black leather build and a ‘University Gold’ tumbled leather rand — the new look doesn’t necessarily point to MJ, but they still look good.
Tech specs include a Phylon midsole, heel and forefoot Zoom Air along with a TPU shank. It’s a viable on-court option for those wanting to play in something like the Air Jordan 13 without actually playing in a pair of Air Jordan 13s.
The Jordan 6 Rings in ‘Black/University Gold’ is available now at NikeStore.com for $165.
Nice touch. I want them.
