The University of North Carolina men’s basketball team has unveiled its Air Jordan 33 UNC PE and it may help change some peoples’ minds on the latest Air Jordan game shoe.
The oversized tongue that Jordan Brand mentioned when it launched the Air Jordan 33 has been put to use to show off embroidered UNC branding. Pictured here in the usual white and Carolina Blue, this Air Jordan 33 UNC PE has about zero likelihood of getting sold to fans; in August, the university suspended 13 college football players for selling their player exclusive sneakers.
This Air Jordan 33 rides atop a translucent outsole, which may not please some hoopers (although I’d bet the UNC courts are pristine). Cushioning is taken care of with a large volume heel hex Zoom unit and an unlocked forefoot Zoom Air unit.

I hope they do drop some PE’s like they had it for the 32’s. Some great colorways.
the more i see the 33 the less I like it.
I’m starting to see more resemblance to 3s with every picture. It’s not as obvious as the 31 and 32, and it may just be my mind playing tricks, but if I squint I kinda see it. That said, I like them. I understand why a lot of people don’t, but I think they stand out aesthetically.
