Supra just re-released the Skytop 3 as a lifestyle sneaker on Finish Line.
Two colorways are currently available and feature small modifications for lifestyle use over the performance driven skateboarding sneaker the original was intended to be. These remove the TPU lacing cage found at the midfoot and replace it with leather and nubuck overlays — depending on the colorway. The original version had a heel drop-in cushion pod that was very reminiscent of the Air Jordan XX1’s Zoom Air pod, and it’s unclear from the product description if that holds true for this version of the shoe.
You can find these now at Supra Footwear retailers and FinishLine.com.
The drop-in cushion pod isn’t the only thing on this shoe that was inspired by Jordans.
Muska had made it clear since the original Skytop that his favorite shoe line was the Air Jordan and featured design elements from some of his personal favorites like the AJ6.
