The adidas ClimaCool 2 is coming back in some interesting colorways.
Resurrected earlier this year in simple monochromatic black and white builds, the 2003 adidas ClimaCool 2 is a sneaker that resembles little else out there.
The shoe is designed to provide 360-degree cooling; its distinct side panels resemble the vents found on supercars, and both offer the same function: channelling air. The ClimaCool 2 uses its huge vents to release heat from the foot and keep the wearer cool while running.
The ClimaCool 2 uses an open mesh upper for increased breathability, a perforated sockliner and vents under the midfoot for additional airflow, and a mesh lining to prevent debris from entering the sneaker. It sits atop a compression molded EVA midsole and a decoupled rubber outsole.
The adidas ClimaCool 2.0 is available now at several retailers overseas. The off-white/purple colorway pictured here should arrive at retailers soon.
adidas updated the ClimaCool for 2017 with a new silhouette, the adidas Originals ClimaCool 02/17.
Additionally, several ClimaCool 1 colorways are on sale at Eastbay.com.
