Stephon Marbury Teases the Return of Starbury

According to Stephon Marbury, he’s bringing back his Starbury brand.

A number of years ago, Marbury started a trend that a few companies tried to follow – Protege being one of them – where performance sneakers were delivered to retailers and sold for a mere $20 a pair. This didn’t last long as Starbury soon went bankrupt due to not being able to turn a profit. Pricing is unknown at the moment, but I assume the shoes will retail for a bit more than they originally did so they can ensure they stay open for business this time around… but you never know.

Check out some of the models – names currently unknown – that Marbury teased as coming soon to his fans.

  1. If I’m not mistaken, Marbury has been with 361 Degrees for quite awhile and continued his signatuee shoe with them. And they even actually look good.

  2. I would grab a pair. And the And1 retros, whenever they come out. I’m curious about his 361s,NFO cushioning. Has anyone tried it?

  3. I love the concept, I literally had a pair of BigBen Starbury’s explode off my feet during the 3rd wear though, so they do really need an upgrade to get them fundamentally sound.

  4. LMAO!!!!!!
I still have my low top Starbury’s that look like AF1’s! I remember back in the day I almost bought a pair of his shoes to hoop in but I could never find my size.

  5. Sneakerheads won’t be buying these but they will be great for kids whose parents can’t afford the outrageous prices for sneakers these days.
