Snipes, a German streetwear shop, celebrated its 20th anniversary this weekend by partnering with several ’90s brands like Fila. To honor 1998, the shop designed a new Fila 96.
Snipes gave the Fila 96 a white, Strong Blue, and Fiery Red look with mismatching patent leather trim on both shoes. SNIPES branding hits the heel strap while the rest of the shoe is done in a synthetic coated leather.
The Fila 96, once known as the Grant Hill 2, is probably the most comfortable sneaker the brand has ever made. The shoe features a resilient foam midsole and Fila’s 2A cushioning chip in the heel for a supremely cushioned ride (you can check out Nightwing2303’s review below).
While many sizes have sold out, the Snipes x Fila 96 is still available at snipes.com for 119,99 € (approx. $145 USD). Matching old school Snipes x Fila gear like tear-away pants, hoodies, and track jackets were also dropped to celebrate the release.

Such a clean model. I wish the Fila Grant Hill 1 and 2 were permanently available in every store. Like the Air Force Ones.
