Russell Westbrook’s First Signature Shoe: the Jordan Why Not Zero.1

The Jordan Why Not Zero.1 is going to be Russell Westbrook’s first signature sneaker — and it’s coming soon.

After years of fans requesting Russell Westbrook receive his very own signature performance shoe from the Jordan Brand, it’s finally happening.

Westbrook has been wearing hybrid Air Jordan 30.5 on-court (as well as the Air Jordan 28 SE), but come All-Star Weekend, he should be debuting his the Jordan Why Not Zero.1 on February 15, according to Sneaker Ranger.

The shoe features a one-piece bootie construction with a synthetic overlay along the entire forefoot area. The heel portion is comprised of rubber and wraps from the top of the ankle collar to the bottom of the outsole much like the Air Jordan 15. Cushion specs are currently unknown.

The shoe itself has a bit of a Nu’ Retro Jordan 2 vibe to it but less bulky.

Let us know if you’re happy to hear that Westbrook is finally getting a signature performance sneaker and stay tuned for more updates as they come.

  1. Finally. Always wondered how CP3 and Melo could have sigs and this guy didn’t. Judging from this drawing, it could either look good or like complete trash, much like the fashion choices of Westbrook himself.

  2. Considering it’s a sketch, it can look way different in physical form — for better or worse. I think he deserves recognition with a sig, although it was cool that he was virtually the face of the main line.
