A 1999 Alpha Project classic turned into a Nike Sportswear Retro, today we revisit the Nike Air Flightposite 2019 edition.
Nike Air Flightposite Performance Review
Though it’s not quite as good as the original, it’s still good nonetheless.
Despite missing the medial rubber wrap, the Flightposite is still capable of being a decent on-court performer. For those wondering, they still feature the same tech specs and have not been dubbed-down in that aspect. Heel and forefoot Zoom Air are still housed within a removable PU midsole setup. Its rubber is still rugged and durable while providing solid grip on-court. Fit is snug and secure (go true to size) while the support is fairly minimal.
You can find the Nike Air Flightposite for under retail now at Nike.com and FootLocker.com.
Ah, oh no! Sorry to hear about your injury. Have a quick convalescence.
Does anyone know of any other shoes that have removable zoom insoles like this?
Great review on the FP1 retros. I’ve always loved how the FP1s look – so sexy. I find them hard to play in because they fit narrow and even a half size up I get some uncomfortable squeezing side to side near the ball of my foot. Are the recent retros more accommodating in width?
Also, great call on the insoles. I love putting my FP1 insoles into other shoes and I’ve been thinking about doing that with some Kobe Protro 4s if I can get a good colorway on steep disco.
