After debuting the first Reebok x Cottweiler collaboration in January of 2017 at Pitti Uomo, the brands have teamed up once again for SS18.
Reebok has evolved its Cottweiler partnership by employing the award-winning NEWGEN designers to create the clothing and footwear you see below. The collection highlights contemporary menswear that is inspired by the “Marathon Des Sables” (a desert marathon).
Garments in the Reebok x Cottweiler SS18 collection include lightweight hoodies, t-shirts, shorts, pants, and even a poncho; they’re colored in earthy tones of sand, lava, and smoke to echo the desolate landscapes the desert runners traverse.
“We are excited to be partnering with a likeminded and talented team of designers, creating a collection that we believe is at the forefront of hybrid sportswear as fashion and technical performance-wear merge,” said Anastasia Franquillo, Senior Marketing and Product Collaborations Manager for Reebok, in a statement. “Drawing inspiration from technical innovation, we’ve strived for simplicity, function and design. We look forward to taking technical sports wear into the future together.”
Launching March 1 at premium price points in stores and online, the new designs focus on sports after-care using UV protective layers, multi-functional designs, and adaptable and packable silhouettes.
