Few may have noticed, but Reebok is doing very interesting things with its Ultraknit.
Two of the brand’s recent silhouettes, the Pump Supreme and Sock Runner (also called the Sock Supreme overseas), have been updated with Ultraknit in a deep Collegiate Navy hue. Both models in this pack share the Collegiate Navy/Chalk/Primal Red colorway as well as exaggerated heel tabs.
Additionally, both models sit atop Reebok’s Supreme tooling; it uses a carbonated foam midsole for lightweight cushioning, carbon fiber reinforcement, and carbon rubber at the forefoot and heel. You can learn more about the tooling here.
These models are pricey — the Pump Supreme will run you $200 when it comes Stateside, and the Sock Runner will run you $220. For now, they’re available at overseas shops like Hanon and Afew.
What do you think about Reebok’s latest Ultraknit offerings? If you have either silhouette, share your experience in the comments below.

i have actually always wanted the sock runners in the brown colorway, but i have no idea how i would be able to pull them off, since wearing them with pants seems to kind of defeat the purpose of the ultra high cut….
tbh what attracts me to the shoe is the almost complete lack of branding
do you know how the carbonated foam midsole feels on foot?
I wish I knew how this tooling felt! This guy https://www.instagram.com/k3vinq/ will know cause he cops everything Vector.
Oh, and a lot of people rock the tapered pants with the zippers at the bottom with high cut knit stuff. Ask the hypebeasts though cause that shit ain’t for me
haha, i feel you, i think the balenciaga speed socks look really goofy
tbh if the speed sock came out in a low cut iteration i’d be all over them if the only branding was on the pull tab at the back
it would actually be a really nice design if you cut the entire ‘sock’ part off around the ankle
Balenciaga is charging WILD money for a knit upper and an EVA bottom. Legit no tech whatsoever, but people only buy hype. So sad.
Apparently, the Sock Runner is doing well in Asia (but Reebok is pretty strong in Asia so)
sorry i meant the sock runner in the post above, would never touch the speed socks….interestingly enough there are LOTS of knockoff balenciaga speed socks circulating in bootleg street stalls here now, i see old ladies rocking low cut speed sock slip-ons with ‘balancing’ stitched on the front 🙂
you’d think that reebok is doing well in a place like hong kong, but as far as i can see they’re kind of not, i mean besides furylites and instapump furys, i love my zokus (have two pairs now) but have seen nobody wearing them
that being said more reebok stores are opening up in the big sneaker shopping areas so that might get them more exposure, i don’t know, until recently reebok classics, zokus, answers etc. were only available in the flagship store here, which is pretty far away from a lot of people
