Today, Reebok is launching the DMX Fusion, a contemporary reinterpretation of the historic DMX Run 10 designed by Bill Marvin, in two new colorways.
The design of the DMX Fusion is influenced by the 1997 DMX Run 10 running sneaker that used proprietary DMX (Dynamic Motion Control) technology; that system implemented air that moved from heel to forefoot to cushion the wearer’s next step.
Today, the DMX Fusion has slimmed down the look of the original and added modern materials like a seamless Ultraknit upper. Designed by Jeremy Sallee, the shoe uses an adaptive lacing system with hooks and anchors that allows wearers to customize their lacing.
For this campaign, Reebok tapped street photographer Christoper Rajaon (aka Samourai Parisien) to shoot the new sneaker against some of Paris’ most stunning architectural backdrops. Included in the campaign are Alexandre Dalliance, founder of celeb-favorite headwear brand Millinsky, Barbara Malewicz, a Paris-based fashion journalist, and PK Vanasirikul, a Bankgkok-based model.
“The DMX Fusion perfectly encapsulates what Reebok Classic does so well,” said Neal Taylor, General Manager of Reebok Classics, in a statement. “By combining stylistic and technological elements from our past and updating it with modern materials and executions, we were able to create a forward-looking, versatile sneaker that appeals to both men and women. Because it’s so minimal and sleek, the DMX Fusion serves as an ideal foundation to build an outfit around.”
