The football season is approaching soon and Reebok’s ace in the whole, J.J. Watt — 6′ 5″ and 295 lbs — wants you prepared.
This latest colorway salutes the long and tiresome hours J.J. Watt and his Texans teammates are putting in at training camps. According to Reebok, it honors the city and teammates who support him on and off the field.
Like many of the JJ signature colorways, this one features design elements that celebrate his team and state. In red, white, and blue, the trainer sits atop a graded lug marbled blue/black outsole.
Tech-wise, the JJ II features a Lenoweave upper that is breathable and super durable (I’ve been wearing my JJ II for several days and it’s unlike anything I’ve worn). The Liquidfoam cushioning is firm and supportive and the shoe is lightweight. I’ll update you in a Test Shoot segment.
“What I love about the JJ II is that it’s so versatile in the weight room,” said J.J. Watt in a statement. “You can do any type of workout with it, but then you can also — right after the gym — go out and wear it on the streets. It’s the best performance shoe I’ve ever worn.”
