If you miss the Answer IV as much as we do you’re just as tight that these aren’t coming Stateside.
Dubbed the ‘Finals Pack’, it celebrates the infamous step-over.
As Tyronne Lue leads the Cleveland Cavalier to yet another Finals matchup with the Golden State Warriors, he will once again be reminded of this savage move by A.I. in the 2001 NBA Finals. However, don’t feel too bad for Lue — the Lakers defeated the 76ers in five games, so he got a ring.
According to Flight Club China, this black/white colorway A.I. rocked during the Playoffs and Finals will return in a matter of days. The pack is limited to just 500 units and will be releasing in China only on June 3.
The set features a compression sleeve (to wear on your elbow, like A.I. did) and the shoes enclosed in unique packing. True to the originals, this retro is constructed of premium leather and utilizes DMX cushioning.
Would you pick up this Playoffs/Finals Reebok Answer IV if it came Stateside? Let us know.

Would love to get these….
Waste of time without DMX. Already got my Georgetowns, was let down…
I’m good….
It has the DMX. Read the post closely
Reebok calls the foam used for the midsole DMX but the air transfer DMX system is likely missing from these.
Thanks @Nightwing….
They’re most likely going to use DMX Foam because Reebok doesn’t have the rights to the original air chambers used because it’s patented. My Georgetowns have “DMX” but it’s a slap of brick (basically)…
Was real DMX really good, or did the dense midsole still make it a little too hard of a ride?
Dang. I still have my pair from some years back. They’re hard as rocks but I loved AI growing up and had to grab a pair. He gave little dudes confidence on the court. He wasn’t scared of anything or anyone.
real DMX was an amazing feeling. nothing like it. you could actually feel the air moving under your feet. a lot of great tech in the 90s fazed out bc companies figured out they could just get rid of it and make way more profit. such a shame
@Jim : good point, agree with you buddy. Watched these finals live. That game gave people hope thats 76ers can do something. They got steamrolled by Lakers
For the shoes i had the slip on back in 2003. The traction was terrible and were super hard (as in crap cushion). Still love the design and its one of the iconic models i think
I agree with ya man but I think that people are hypocritical a lot nowadays. I personally hate the bullying stuff or the over the top criticizing for effort but a lot of people call my ideal world sissyfication.
