PONY is Now a Luxury Brand and You Can Cop Today (If You’re in NYC)

One of the classic athletic brands of the 70s, 80s, and 90s has now opened a new luxury division. It looks like PONY will now be focusing their efforts on their new Product Of New York lineup, an attempt to break into the high fashion/luxury sneaker segment. Android Homme has done the exact same thing–let’s see how successful these brands are with their respective rebranding efforts.

As with most luxury and high fashion brands now, the Product Of New York shoes will come with a branded shoe horn, shoe trees, half pair canvas dust bags, lace pouch, and three sets of laces. The extra goodies are great and PONY promises the utmost quality for this new collection. No pricing has been announced yet.

Below is the Product Of New York Fall/Winter 2015 look book video and it’s hella hipster. Like many other brands they’ve refreshed a classic silhouette, in this case the Pony M-110, for our modern times. The collection features sixteen all new styles and you can cop before the worldwide release by hitting their pop up exhibition in none other than NYC’s Soho district. Located on 129 Prince Street, the pop up is open from August 14 to August 16. The first run of the Product Of New York Fall/Winter 2015 collection will be available on August 17 at their online shop and select retailers.
