Traction has been very good so far. The rubber is thin – not too soft or too firm – so I wouldn’t take these straight to the blacktop unless they featured XDR. Overall, the pattern performed pretty similar to the Air Jordan 2012. That’s not a bad way to start things off.
The fit and containment will have players of all positions on the court excited. These might look bulky but they are actually very sleek. They fit snug and your foot feels contained… Guards, if you haven’t caught the hint then you might as well be wearing Pro Keds on-court.
Trust me… this isn’t your average LeBron. Hell, these aren’t even your average Nike’s. This shoe might be the first in the LeBron that is ahead of it’s time from a performance perspective. I don’t think you’re ready for this… or are you?

Hi NW, first of all thanks a lot for all your hard work. Here in Italy (especially in my hometown) it’s a bit difficult to get information about bball shoes (new sneakers in general) and try them on cuz there aren’t much “specialized” shop and people with this kind of knowledge.
With your incredible work I’ve been able to take as many info as I could before step in any other store so my choose has been made a lot lot easier. Thanks again.

Just finished workout with my team and of course I was wearing Them, the XI’s.
Great traction, the floor where we practice is a bit dusty but they worked great, as much my “old” kobe8 have done the past year.
The fit as you said it’s a bit snug, so I had to go up half size and it was a very good advice, the break-in has been like 20-30 mins.
At first they feel a bit awkward ‘couse of the lunarlon+zoomAir combo, at half practice gone they were almost perfect.
Ventilation it’s pretty decent, personally I don’t care so much about it, was wearing elite’s crew socks the inside wasn’t so wet.
As you said above I totally agree about the “the first in the LeBron that is ahead of it’s time from a performance perspective”, I’ve played with the X’s for some months before the kobe8 and I really felt the difference between them and the XI’s, they are like a new, fresh, start for a performance/signature shoe like the Lebron’s.

My friends got these cus our footlocker accidentally sold them. I tried them on and instantly could feel how snug they are. But they are mad light too.
Spit on them and force it in, after awhile it’ll loosen up…..wait.
I can’t get behind the colorway, I’ll get up call the local stores see who has what and try them on.
Who knows man, I hated the Rose 4 away and it grew on me, maybe these will.

If it can help you, I played in kobe8 size13 and I took 13 on the lebron’s as well. So far so good.

Is the gold in these similar to the FP1s? It looks like it. I love my FP1s but they are getting beat, so this could be a great replacement for them.

The X’s used air max 360°, XI’s use zoom air. Am i right ?!
The feel is pretty much the same thanks to the lunarlon but they gained a “low profile” responsiveness almost like a kobe 8.
That’s a great upgrade from the X’s imho, cuz that feeling like “running a cloud” sometimes gave me balance and stability problem, things that won’t happen with the XI’s
Actually in the lebron X’s they used 360 degree zoom. I agree with you on the low profile setup of the 11’s tho.
i think these are really going to be a luxury item for me…i really want to try them out because of all the tech, but i know, as always, that lebrons aren’t built for me or the way that i play…as with every year i’m just gonna end up wearing them to walk around in most of the time, rather than on the court…hopefully the colorway that i want will stay on the shelves for long enough for me to mull them over…

Yo Chris, something weird happened to me and my SuperFly IIs. I was running and I made a sharp cut and the outsole just ripped from the midsole. Not completely, but it peeled back enough so that the zoom unit was exposed. has this happened to you with any shoe ever?
Went to the mall. walked into finishline. grabbed the last size. Threw them in my basketball bag. Scored 22. Such a great shoe.

Could you wear orthotics with these cause when I was little a nurse burnt my foot so the cartilage on that heal scarred up and is not fully developed. I know with the kobe vii u had to get special inserts to be able to put in your orthodox
hi nw, fan from the philippines here. first off i would like to say thanks to the effort and dedication you put in to the reviews. this helps us people to have an opinion from others about what to get when it comes to performance kicks. now on to my question, i saw the 11’s in person and got quite amazed on how it rides really low unlike the 10’s(btw i got the 10’s because of you hehe). i dunno if this would fit me and also support my knees(partial tear of the acl and mcl). the 10’s does a very good job on absorbing impact when i land from a jump. maybe this would be answered once your full review comes out but it would be appreciated if you reply to this. thanks and more power to you! mabuhay ka nightwing!
