Packer Shoes has done a number of Reebok Question collabs in the past. This latest one, the ‘Curtain Call’, celebrates Allen Iverson’s enshrinement in the Basketball Hall of Fame, and it may be the best one yet.
The Packer x Reebok Question Mid ‘Curtain Call’ pays homage to AI’s past — his play style, his sneakers, and his toughness — in premium fashion. The upper of this Question utilizes premium black pebbled Horween basketball leather while the inner linings and lace loops are treated to full grain leather. The red and blue suedes at the toes and ankles, respectively, call back to the original Question colorways, as does the blue ice outsole (although it may be a shade too dark to match the originals, but that could just be the images).
Unique details include the replacement of the traditional “3” at the heel for the initials “A” and “I,” alternating Question and Vector logos on the medial and lateral sides, reflective 3M side panels, and tattoo-inspired “Bubba Chuck” graphics on the insoles — an homage to Iverson’s childhood nickname. The shoe is finished with embroidered Packer branding at the tongue.
The ‘Curtain Call’ question Mid will be a very limited release of only 500 pairs worldwide. Retail is set at $175. According to Packer Shoes, the shoe will be available exclusively at an event this Friday, September 16, at Reebok’s Union Square store in New York. There, Packer, Iverson, and photographer Gary Land will be in attendance.
