Founded by Kihachiro Onitsuka in 1949, Onitsuka Tiger was one of the world’s first sportswear sneaker brands. The brand is set to bring back some of its most successful designs from the last 60 years including the GSM (Game/Set/Match), a sneaker that pays tribute to tennis and basketball styles from the 1980s.
Today, we have a look at two of Onitsuka Tiger’s newest GSM models to be released. Each shoe features an all leather upper, and both ride atop a beige/off-white rubber sole. Perforated paneling is prevalent throughout the upper and padding is added in the tongue and collar for support.
Releasing in a dark brown and warm mahogany, look for these to drop on October 7 on the Onitsuka Tiger Magazine Online store for 12,000 yen (approx. $107 USD). Keep an eye out on the U.S. Onitsuka Tiger website if you’re feeling these.
