Under Armour has shared official tech specs for the Curry 4 — and cushion has finally been mentioned.
Tomorrow, Under Armour will be going behind the design of the Curry 4 but today we have some tech information for you.
The Curry 4 uses a knit internal sleeve that should create a structural fit around the collar and forefoot. A microfiber synthetic quarter panel is bonded to the knit to keep things lightweight but supportive, and dynamic seam taping links the knit sleeve and synthetic quarter panel without stitching.
Under Armour has stated that a “proprietary foam compound” has been used for improved responsiveness underfoot, so no word yet if it’s Charged, Micro G, or something completely new.
The Curry 4 also uses a speed plate for structure and response underfoot that is similar to what Under Armour uses in its running line (and what Nike/Jordan Brand do with the FlightSpeed system). Finally, a multidirectional cross-centric traction pattern is used forefoot to heel for grip (the Black/White colorway uses translucent rubber).
The Under Armour Curry 4 ‘Black/White’ goes on sale at Eastbay.com October 27 for $130.

Cushion is my top priority/need so the minimalistic implementation isn’t great but these are just too beautiful to pass up.
Will there be a performance review on these before they drop?
Yes
I hope they put full length micro G in these or some other shoe. Why UA isn’t using their best cushioning in more basketball sneakers is a mystery to me. C’mon!
Man this is a pretty silhouette
