Fresh off a second wave of the hyped React Element 87, Nike seems prepped to release the React Element 55. The new shoe follows a nearly identical design thanks to leaked official images courtesy of US 11.
While the non-translucent upper of the React Element 55 may not draw the same hype as its predecessor, a fresh look has been given to the React Element series and appears primed for release. The sneaker, shown in Black/Grey/Crimson and Black/White/Volt colorways, features what appears to be a solid neoprene-like upper with hits of suede/nubuck.
Aside from the build and the lack of cork insoles, it is difficult to spot differences between the React Element 87 and this model. Both feature the same distinct and chunky React midsole — which is noticeably more comfortable than other sneakers featuring React cushioning, according to our own Nightwing2303.
Despite rumors being thrown around about the release of the Nike React Element 55, the images here are the most concrete details we have thus far. Stay tuned as we will be sure to let you know when more details like release dates and pricing are confirmed.

Does the non-translucent upper do for more or less for this sneaker, both aesthetically and in hype? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

both of these colorways are seriously fire, they give off a real ’90s acg vibe, and while i’ve wanted a pair of the ’87s for a long time now (but have never been able to bring myself to pay resale prices), i’ve never really been able to get down with the translucent uppers….these though, i am definitely on board
I dont mind the non translucent uppers. Infact i’d actually prefer this over the 87. Assuming they are both going to feel the same as far as the react cushioning is concerned.
