An Official Look at the Converse NBA Collection

Before signature sneakers, virtually every player in the NBA wore the Converse Chuck Taylor.

“I know in my first look at basketball on TV, I saw my favorite players wearing Chuck Taylors. That was the shoe to get,” Julius “Dr. J” Erving explained in a statement. “When you see people who you admire, people who you idolize, you look at them from head to toe…what they have on their feet is big.”

Three versions of the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star make up the Converse NBA Collection: Gameday, Legend, and Franchise. In addition to the footwear available, there will also be select apparel pieces to complete the Converse NBA Collection.

Converse Chuck Taylor All Star ’70 NBA Gameday

The Converse Chuck Taylor All Star ’70 NBA Gameday is the highlight of the collection. This limited version of the Chuck Taylor is made up of authentic NBA jerseys and features a leather backing and interior liner. Behind the tongues are collaborative Converse x NBA logos woven into the interior lining. There will be a limited number of 250, each individually numbered, for each of the 30 NBA teams.

Converse Chuck Taylor All Star ’70 NBA Legend

The Chuck Taylor All Star ’70 NBA Legend is a luxe build of the Chuck Taylor All Star that highlights five historic NBA teams: the Boston Celtics, Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks, and Golden State Warriors. The shoes feature detailing of each of the five teams along the upper in bold text.

Converse Chuck Taylor All Star SE NBA Franchise

The Converse Chuck Taylor All Star SE NBA Franchise highlights 13 teams in the league. Screen printed details and team names can be seen along the mesh uppers and embroidered logos on the tongue of each shoe. The outsole of each shoe is molded to show each teams’ city’s influence. Additionally, the SE NBA Franchise features a Lunarlon sockliner and a micro-suede inner lining.

Converse NBA Apparel

The Converse NBA Apparel will include a winterwool bomber jacket, hooded coaches jacket, and Converse Essentials hoodie, crew neck, long sleeve t-shirt, and joggers.
