Nike Zoom HyperRev 2015 Deconstructed

The Nike Zoom HyperRev 2015 is the latest model to be deconstructed by the folks over at Long7.

This model featured a molded mesh upper, Dynamic Flywire, internal TPU shank, and heel & forefoot Zoom Air. I already knew how thick the Zoom Air units were before playing in the shoe, and before this deconstruction, but I’m still surprised that you can hardly feel them. Hopefully they soften up the Phylon a little with further production runs so that people can feel the full effects of Zoom Air. They’re still solid shoes either way, but if you could really feel that Zoom then they’d be great shoes.

  1. Oh…so the heel is also a square. Interesting. I might pick these up much later in the year once they are considered old news.

    1. HyperRev appeared to be the better of the two honestly. The HyperRev has zoom and flywire, the HyperChase has a drop in polyurethane insole and flywire. Even with the lack of feeling the zoom, i feel the zoom setup would be better than polyurethane.. the traction also appears to be more of a winner with the HyperRev opposed to the HyperChase.

  2. Indef think how heavy you are plays a part into how well you feel zoom. Im 180 and could feel the zoom . Guess I’ll pack on more pound for the sake of zoom 🙂

  3. there is something wrong at nike and has been for quite a while. the cushioning tech just doesnt work at all anymore. the standards are gone. all the techs have been degraded somehow to the point where its like there is none. how can something be so good 20 YEARS AGO and now its flat out useless. buying nike is the same as buying fakes. you never get whats advertized
