Finally… The Glove has returned! Well… will return.
Here is our first detailed look at the upcoming Fall Retro release of the classic Nike Zoom Flight 98 – “The Glove”. This is a sneaker that I have been wanting since 1998 and have never had the opportunity to obtain a pair that is wearable since their initial release. This OG colorway along with the White/ Black – Green will release this Fall while some new colorways are also expected to release as well.
I don’t know about you, but this is a must have for me and will definitely get a performance review.

I will definitely be picking up a pair of these.
Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice!!!!! The swoooooosh
I’ve always loved these shoes and I hate the fact that my fat feet don’t.
I hate you so much right now 🙁 wish I wore a nine so I could get all the nice shoes 🙁
DAMN YOU NIGHTWING….so going to grab two pair of these.
These arent mine, try reading the description and when i link back with “Via ____” thats where the info/ images came from.
I never saw these before. They look pretty good. So the Jordan XX8 is kind of a rip off from this shoe? I thought it was a new unique design.
btw Nightwing, great site man. I only found out about it a month or so ago in a Basketball forum. Someone there gave me a link and said you do great reviews, to which I agree with after reading and watching the videos on the site.
You site has got me looking at buying shoes and actually getting back into playing Basketball again. I’m going to order some shoes and see if I can start playing again on the recreational level. Just gotta see how my knees feel after I start up.
btw since I have now been looking at shoes again, is there any reason you haven’t reviewed the Hyperdisruptors? I think you have covered most relevant releases this year so far, but I think these are a shoe you have let slip though. Any particular reason that you haven’t reviewed them? Do you think they are too similar to something else?
He has a vid on youtube where he shows that he purchased them. The review should be coming later. Hope that helps.
Thanks for the heads up. I just watched the clip. It seems Nike may have embellished the specs of the shoe.
I thought they might be a good performance shoe based on them being light, and also, Nike claiming that they have the largest Zoom units in a Nike shoe ever.
Nightwing disproved that claim about the Zoom units. The forefoot one is about the same size found in the KD V.
btw, what do you guys think of these shoes for an outdoor/indoor shoe with about 65% usage being outdoor. Zoom Soldier 6, Melo M8 Advanced, KD V. I want to get two of the three.
I’m thinking the outsole rubber on the KD V won’t be any good for outdoor use, or should I just get it anyway? Will it wear out quickly? I haven’t bought Bball shoes for a 5-6 years, so not sure about the softer rubber outsole on the KD V.
No problem. I was thinking about getting the hyperdisruptor myself but when I saw what Nightwing said, I decided to hold off until they get cheaper.
I do have the Zoom Soldier 6 and the Melo M8 Advance. I don’t own the KD though. From my experience, the two I have are good enough for outdoor play. I have personally used them outside before and they seem like they could hold their own both from an upper and outsole stand point.
the so-called exoskeleton upper design should have been what the XX8’s. I would have no problem coughing up $250 if Nike did it that way.
