Nike Zoom Fire XDR

Check this new Nike basketball model that looks to be both affordable and durable. The Nike Zoom Fire XDR is a low-top with fuse uppers and looks similar to previous Hyperfuse Low models. As the name suggests, the outsole is made of Nike’s XDR rubber that is durable enough for outdoor use. The cushioning system looks to be forefoot zoom only.

The shoe is available now at Foot Lockers across Australia, although there is no word of a statewide release. The Nike Zoom Fire XDR costs around $120 USD, and is likely to be sold in that price range in the U.S.

With that said, let us know what you think of the Nike Zoom Fire XDR in the comments below. Will it be a performance beast, or a performance bust?

  1. Has been available in the Philippines since March/April. It is indeed a good performer at its price point. Performance.on a budget.

    1. How did the traction hold up? If you’ve played in either the cp3.6 ,hyperdunk ’13, or kobe 9 (em or elite) how do they compare?

  2. I have a pair of these shoes and they are comfortable as hell, and great for outdoor play, it takes a beating and they still look new.

The shoe it’s well cushioned and you can really feel the forefoot zoom unit. This shoe has the outsole as the Nike Hyperdisruptor. It’s like a low version of it.

Overall I like this shoe and I highly recommend it!!

    1. Second that comment about the zoom! Great upgrade on the lowtop hyperfuse ’13s I was playing in before. After one session these have overtaken the first hyperfuse as my favourite outdoor shoe ever. Best thing: Almost zero break-in time.

  3. The midsole and the outsole are almost identical to the ones on the hyperdisruptor which released last year

  4. The upper reminds me of the lebron st 3 these are *hint hint fire lets go they might perform like a nike hyperquickness low

  5. Yeah, we’ve had these in Australia for ages. Really popular here too. Looks great in person as well. I’ve seen the red ones EVERYWHERE!

  6. Im from Aus and at footlocker they are 120 Australian dollars so it should be under 100 USD because everything over here is significantly more expensive than the US

    1. I saw a site that was selling them for around 99 USD but I wasn’t sure. I pretty much just converted the Aus price on the site at $140… I guess they have it priced wrong.

  7. “Nike Zoom Fire” huh…

Nike’s gonna go all elemental on their shoes now.

    NIKE ZOOM AIR…wait a second.

  8. These have been available in China for a while now as well. I sent Nightwing pictures of these a few months ago. These are basically a Hyperdisruptor low.

  9. I like this shoe but I’m not sure about cushioning.

I’m waitng for your performance review.

    ps. I’m from thailand 🙂

  10. I’ve been playing in this for awhile, the zoom unit in the forefoot is slightly responsive, and the phylon in the heel is firm. Traction has a very good grip, especially in outdoor. Ventilation, air flow is good thanks to the mesh on the sides. And last, the fuse is very durable and it fits like glove for me. The Pro-Combat inspired collar is supportive for the ankle. I wear a size 12.

  11. I have a pair of this Nike Zoom Fire. I have already used it once on a concrete court. Traction feels good and knowing that it is XDR, I had the confidence to run more without the worry of wearing out the sole quickly. Jumping is not a problem, quick cuts slightly improved, on-ball defense tighten.

With its lightweight materials (almost comparable to Adidas’ Crazylight), it felt good that you can freely control the movement of your feet.

About the shape, I kind of see it as KD6 (plus the zoom). If Zoom Fire XDR and KD6 will have the same colorway, and placed side-by-side, you can’t barely see the difference if your basis is the shape. So it’s like buying KD6 (without the “KD” logo) on a cheaper price.

  12. I’ve been using this shoes for almost a year and all I can say is it is a real good performer for all outdoor activities that I’ve been doing. I have used them for running too and I felt nothing wrong.

  13. Absolutely insane shoes. Got a pair for $100 Australian dollars at a nike outlet shop in Sydney.
