A vast majority of customers experienced technical difficulties in their attempts to buy the highly sought after Virgil Abloh x Nike “The Ten” collection through the Nike SNKRS app yesterday.
If you’ve been on social media since yesterday you’ve seen tons of people posting their Ls — even Nike designers like Leo Chang couldn’t purchase the sneakers.
The Wall Street Journal’s Sara Germano addressed the issue yesterday after reporting on the glitchy and problematic release. Nike attributed the crashing of the system to the unprecedented high demand for the collection, emphasizing that this experience will help improve purchase experiences in the future.
Did you experience any technical difficulties yesterday? If you’re one of the rare few that was able to cop, let us know in the comments below.

I was able to get the Air Max 90s. Doesn’t say on the SNKRS app, but it charged my card to Nike!
that’s alarming…
Basically, “dang we hyped up this like crazy and didn’t expect people to want to buy it and cheaped out on our app developers and didn’t account for bots and we’ll do jack to fix this unless it actually costs us money not to”
Oh wait I just took another L on an limited SNKRS release just typing this.
I was able to get the AM90s. Got the confirmation emails and it shows up in my “recent orders”. However, the messaging/notification part of the app was inconsistent. Sometimes, it’ll tell me I couldn’t get it. Other times, just keeps me on “pending”. If I’m gonna get the L, just put me down nice and easy…
