Love him or hate him, there is no denying Kobe Bryant had some sick colorways for his shoes, and the Kobe XI has been no different. Besides the normal $200 Elite Low version, Nike also released a “premium” White Horse version in the spring and a Red Horse version at the beginning of summer. Both featured that smooooth leather heel and tongue logo and the exposed, rough stitching adding that added a hand-sewn look. The extras cost a little extra, with a price tag of $220.
Now, with the end of summer, we get the next horse in the race, the Black. With the same multi-shade stitching in the Flyknit, the Black Horse also features leather on the heel but with a diagonal cut pattern on the edges instead of the raw stitching. The smaller details, like the red heel stripes and the Kobe logo, still make appearances on the shoe, as well as the same Zoom/Lunar drop-in midsole, BUT, we get a solid gum outsole which should help with the traction (not a strong point).
No word yet on the story behind the ‘Horses’, but you can bet there is one. Also, no wonder what the next horse’s color will be but blue sounds good. As always, when we get it, so will you.

Black flyknit upper with a bit of multicolor thrown in on top of a gum outsole? AND an awesome looking heel tab? This colorway has to be one of the top options for the Kobe XI, might have to get it regardless of how iffy the reviews are, these are too nice to pass up.
Wow! That’s very very premium!
gum! the shoes look awesome! can anyone confirm if the traction is much better on solid rubber soles or are they just the same ? would love to cop ! 🙂
@Gandhi yes a solid out sole does improve traction, that being said not sure about gum bottom.
Wow! The BEST Kobe 11 yet except for the FTB! Must cop a pair!
