  1. Traction looks very similar to the kobe 9…. Maybe nike is onto something with this and discovered something that really does perform well but it is pretty scary looking in my opinion.

  2. Looks like a hyperfuse/hyper chaos/hyper quickness type knock off… Doesn’t stay true to the revolutionary attributes of a hyperdunk. Just my opinion.

    1. I think the whole Hyper-line should be cancelled. There’s just no point of nike to create tons of similar shoes.

        1. I dont feel that the hyper should be dropped. Instead just lower the amount of hyper shoes. Most hyper shoes perform the same (excluding hyperdunk and hyperposites). I do agree that the hyperdunks look like the hyper quicknesses which was one reason why i liked the hyperdunk 2013, it looked different. Im just not feeling the “hyper” look, definitely if it doesnt have full length lunarlon. Imagine these performing like the hyperfuse…

  3. The hyperlinks are turning more and more into the hyperfuse line I could design stuff way better than this but I am liking the purple cw

      1. Thank you finally when I become a shoe designer I’m going to the person who designed these and ask him or her what happened was he or she tired or were they going through a hangover

  4. If they have full-length lunarlon, they could be way better as a performer than the 2013 Hyperdunk. Otherwise, they are basically the same in terms of tech specs, which should be enough reason for this line to retain its 2013 price.

    Traction looks fancy.

    1. Agree with you on that one.
The problem is Nike has been underwhelming implementing Zoom Air.
More specifically the use of the Zoom Air in their Hyper Line recently and Retro/Sportswear releases.

    1. i think looks like kd v, hyperdunk 2011, hyperfuse 2012, BUT IT DOSE NOT LOOK LIKE A FRIKEN HYPERDUNK!! and i cant find just blue and white for my team!! what was nike thinking. i liked the 2013 better then these so ill just go with 2013 for next year or kd v.

  5. These look great, kinda looks similar to the 10 and 11 HD because of how big the swoosh is. Hopefully it has full-length Lunarlon, at first I wish it would have Zoom in those diamond shaped pods in the outsole, that’d be awesome. Can’t wait for the 14 HD, even better if a low top version comes out.

  6. The way the outsole looks, I’m thinking targeted lunar in pillars on the toe, ball, and heel… Why can’t Nike bring back zoom air!? I understand lunar, but enough is enough, it’s not needed on every shoe! Honestly I theres something about foams that just doesn’t do the job. Zoom is my all time favorite cushion hands down, Double-stacked Zoom to be specific, have yet to try unlocked, but to see how they use zoom on models nowadays, it’s a shame.

    1. Heard unlocked zoom was awesome, but many experienced it popping in the first couple of months. Its the main reason why i strayed away from the super fly 2s.

    2. Furthermore, there’s not much options to get well-responsive Zoom Air shoes unless it the LeBron Soldier line and/or people are willing to spend more for Signature Shoes and other High Performance Models.

Zoom Crusader review pending from NightWing, hopefully people get a good performance shoe.

  7. looks like the venomenon traction pattern tho i hope these do run full length lunar.

why didnt nike released a HD2013 Low?

  8. Hi I just got new hyperdunk 2013 and the toung is biting into my ankle on the side will it break in or whats wrong with it?

  9. Lunarlon is actually my favorite cushioning system in the world, though I haven’t tried micro g…I love how it’s dense and low to the ground, while still being somewhat responsive… The hyperdunk 2012, particularly in the low version, is still my go to shoe besides the Kobe 8. This iteration does look pretty generic, though, that’s for sure.

  10. Personally I think they get carried away with multi directional traction. It rarely ever plays better than front to back hb for me. If a shoe sticks it sticks.
Wish I bought more m8s. Those stick and give me perfect audible feedback, which I need from traction.
I play on bad courts so the difference between good traction and great traction is amplified.
A shoe like the jordan 2012 which has good traction ends up not getting used while my 2k4s an m8’s get beat because they really stick.
I dont trust the lbj 11 to stop right for me where I play. I imagine them gripping like the j2012s

  11. Looks like Nike is experimenting with the same traction as the kobe 9. Maybe they have found something that works better than herringbone.

    1. The court grip of outsoles largely depend on the type of rubber used. Now if the same type of rubber is used for the outsole of two different shoes, that is where traction pattern becomes a big question.

  12. As much as I kinda like the design of this shoe, it kinda looks ugly. It gives me that love/hate perspective on this shoe because it just does not look right with the Achilles tendon pad sticking out

  13. its been so long since nike did a high-end product that was substance over style. these look like they are focused squarely on performance w/o all the flashy shiny junk. so nice to see

    1. Just based on this pictures it’s probably a similar setup to the new Kobe 9 (Carbon Fiber heel panels with an inner TPU/Fuse heel cup) except that those triangular pieces are in place of the Carbon Fiber

  14. I can already read tons of haters & critics here..the shoe has not yet been tested for performance, or has been released yet.. So, I say hold horses and wait…
the aesthetics is one thing but performance: ie: fit, traction, support, weight…etc. is one thing that remains..
But if everything is as said:’a knock-off’, maybe we could start asking Leo Change along with all Nike’s designers involved.. hehe
If you are looking for a full length zoom.. might as well try Nike HyperRev.. 😉
