One of Nike’s most coveted runners from the ’80s, the Air Span 2, is slated for a 2018 retro.
The Nike runners from the late-80s — early-90s era are loved by many sneaker enthusiasts in Europe. That’s why it’s no surprise that French sneaker site Sneakers Addict and sneaker marketplaceK’LEKT.IN got wind of the story.
According to Sneakers Addict, the Nike Air Span saw its first release in 1988 and a second model came around 1900/1991. The 2018 retro will sport original colorways from both models like White/Grey/Black-Blue and White/Steel Grey/Black-Yellow, as well as new builds like White/Grey-Bordeaux.
There are even rumors of a Patta collab on the Air Span 2 retro for 2018, according to K’LEKT.IN.
While there are no photos yet of the 2018 retro, the Air Span 2 photos below have been edited to represent the coming colorways, according to Sneakers Addict. Photos of original pairs from the era have also been included below.
