Nike Air Max Ambassador VI

The Nike Air Max Ambassador series has been quite popular overseas as it provides players with a performance sneaker built for the outdoors.

With the latest Ambassador VI on their way, we have a good look at a few colorways we can expect along with some tech info. A 180 degree Air Max unit is found in the heel along with Dynamic Flywire. They share design elements with the LeBron XI while Fuse and Nikes Blade Traction is used in conjunction with herringbone and an XDR outsole.

Take a look at more images below and be sure to share your thoughts on the Nike Air Max Ambassador VI.

  1. They’ve also had forefoot zoom since the Ambassador IV, I believe. These are definitely a solid package. Way better than the Lebron 9s if you want an Air Max/Zoom shoe.

  2. I’m confused! It says they share design elements with the Lebron XI, but these have the LJ on the sole and the tongue. What am I missing here?

    1. not quite sure what youre asking,
but by design elements he is refering to things like the angular side panels 🙂

      1. I think I read it weird the first time. I guess this is another Lebron model huh? I was thinking it wasn’t a Lebron model, but shared “design elements”, but because of that I was wondering why it had the LJ logos. Like I said, I just didn’t realize that they’re another Lebron model. They look good!

        1. Aside from the LeBron XI, which is his signature shoe. He also has the Ambassadors, and the Soldiers. Like Kobe, with the Venomenon and Dream Season. KD with the Trey series.

  3. These don’t look bad. I just don’t like that there’s an exposed air unit on the bottom of the sole, they might pop using them outdoors and they don’t look like they flex in the forefoot very well. I’ll just keep using my Air max Quarter till they make a better shoe.

    1. Hi EpicBallerEd,

I’ve asked this question a couple of times in the last few days, haven’t received a reply yet though. It seems that newer shoes have these exposed Air/Zoom units on the outsole more and more lately.

Do shoes like this have some sort of protection to stop the Air units from popping if you wear the shoes outdoors? I’m not even talking about playing Basketball in them, I’m basically asking about walking outside with them? Can you pop the Air bag stepping on a rock or something similar, or are they more durable than that?

Since I started getting back into Basketball shoes the last few months, pretty much all the shoes that I’ve bought don’t have an exposed unit on the outsole, so not sure what the go is with those that do.

Those of you that do own shoes with exposed Air Max/Zoom units, do they have some sort of clear plastic between the Air bag and the outsole to protect the air bag?

I think these shoes look great for outdoor play, but like the above poster said, I’d be weary of wearing something like this outdoors.

Also, are these an overseas only model? Do they normally sell them in the US at all?

      1. Hey Ice09,

I’m sorry I wouldn’t be able to tell you if they do have any protection on the airbag, since I don’t own any shoes with an exposed air unit on the outsole. To me it just looks like the plastic is part of the air bubble so with enough wear it will pop. Eventually all air units will pop with outdoor use, but these shoes look like they will pop sooner.

      2. They are overseas only. I got my Ambassador 4 on eBay. I’ve also seen the Ambassador 5 on eBay too so these will probably make their way onto eBay soon enough after release. As for having an exposed unit, I have played with the Melo M8, M8 Advanced, M9 and the Ambassador 4 outdoors and they have been fine. I don’t think that anything would happen to them unless you’re playing on a surface with nails or rocks all over that could puncture it but usually you won’t find those things on the field of play. Then again, I rotate shoes so that could have something to do with it but I just can’t see them being popped just from play on an outdoor court. Hope that helps.

        1. Thanks for the reply Trezz.

Does it feel like they have any sort of protection over the Air bag? When you touch the exposed Air bag, does it feel like it is the Air bag itself, or does it feel like a thin layer of clear plastic over it?

I wouldn’t mind getting these shoes. Anyone have a link to a reputable seller that sells these?
