The Nike Air Max 720 has been officially unveiled and we have a detailed look and review.
Utilizing the largest (tallest) Air Max unit to date, this bubble stands a bit taller than last year’s Air Max 270. The Air cushion is coupled with an injected foam wedge that I believe is Injected Phylon — although I could be wrong.
Comfort under-foot is the best I’ve felt in any Air Max model and I have tried most of them. The foam and Air combination gives you a bounce that is stable and cushioned all at once — something I usually commend Zoom Air for providing.
Materials will vary depending on the colorway with this ‘Northern Lights’ version sporting a rubbery mesh. We were told this version uses 70% recycled materials and we hope that is true.
Retail is priced at $180, a bit expensive, but if you’re a fan of the annual Air Max then you might have to grab at least one pair for retail — there are so many colorways releasing I believe they’ll end up discounted in no time for those that are a bit more patient.
On February 1, the Air Max 720 ‘Northern Lights Day’ and ‘Northern Lights Night’ is set to release at select Nike and global retailers as well as the SNKRS. Be warned, these colorways are releasing in limited quantities. More colorways will follow soon after — all the information on the next lineup can be found here.
Stay tuned for updates on future Nike Air Max 720 releases and let us know if you plan on trying a pair out yourself once they’re available.
I really dig these and definitely want to give them a try. Eventually. I can wait for them to go on sale though.
