A classic from the Nike Pump lineup will be returning this weekend when the Nike Air Command Force releases on Saturday, November 8th in the US. Europe was already treated to these sneakers back in October, so I was able to grab my pair ahead of the US release date. If you’re looking for these early, you can still pick up a few sizes at European retailers like END.
Although this was David Robinson’s signature sneaker, this particular OG colorway was made famous when Woody Harrelson laced them up as Billy Hoyle in White Men Can’t Jump. The simple black and white colorway is complimented by a range of materials and an extremely high cut, and the Hot Lime accents at the heel and on the ‘FORCE’ text really help set these apart. The pump system is fully functioning, which helps make these one of my favorite releases of the year.
Check out my full review below, and be sure to let us know whether you will be after a pair this Saturday. Just a reminder that these will retail for $200.
great review. i thought the OGs were $175.
Thank you! I saw some sources that said they were $175, but I also saw some that said $130, so I decided to be conservative. Check out http://niketalk.com/t/243435/official-nike-air-command-force-pump-180-pump-retro-thread-new-actual-pic-on-pg-1 to see an original advertisement that lists them at $130.
Hi.
Can you tell me what you think of the included air pumps? These shoes look fantastic, but I have no experience with pumps.
My feet need a lot of support; does the pump make the fit less supportive?
Thanks!
Thanks for the review. I was very skeptical about these but they seem like really nice shoes.
