When I spoke with Cape Capener of Supra and KR3W in the summer of 2016 he said there would be new Supra silhouettes coming. Now, they’re here: meet the Supra Method and Supra Flow.
The Supra Method is inspired by the brand’s signature (and classic) Vaider and Skytop styles; it features layered exterior paneling — something missing from many sneakers nowadays — with an asymmetric toecap. The shoe sits atop an EVA cushionined midsole with rubber landing pads that should provide flexible grip. Available in grey and navy nubuck, this mid-top should provide good ventilation.
The second silhouette, the Supra Flow Run, shares the same tooling underfoot as the Method. It is a skate-inspired hybrid redesigned to be a lightweight trainer. Sporting a fused toewrap and neoprene bootie construction with hidden laces, it’s ultimately a slip-on trainer. Constructed of nubuck leather and mesh, the Flow Run has dropped in cream, red, and black colorways.
Both the Supra Method and Flow Run are available now for $80 at SupraFootwear.com. Check out the gallery of images below and let us know what you think about the latest Supra trainers. Are you interested in how the brand is reaching out?
