New images of Kobe Bryant’s laceless Nike Kobe AD NXT have surfaced.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a Kobe shoe adopt technology introduced in an Air Jordan; the Nike Kobe 7 System was the first to adopt the drop-in modular midsole cushion system first introduced in the previous year’s Air Jordan 2011.
While performance on this upcoming Nike Kobe AD NXT may end up being great, the shoe is far from aesthetically pleasing. Obviously, that is a personal opinion and some may disagree. However, the model just looks like a higher cut Kobe 11 with the FastFit system thrown in there.
I do like seeing the FastFit system through the translucent upper. However, it makes the shoe look more like an unfinished prototype rather than a refined product for performance.
It’s possible that this is just a rough sample. Maybe the actual final version of the shoe looks much better than what we see here. Fingers crossed.
