The New Balance M996PR ‘Wild West’ is an extremely premium quality sneaker. Part of the Distinct Collection, this shoe gets a beige pigskin upper with bison leather trim, melange woven laces, and a woven tongue tab. The usual ENCAP takes care of comfort while the outsole gets treated to brick red, complimenting the off-white midsole. The toebox and ankle panels are perforated, adding a bit of breathability. A black inner lining and black embossed heel accent the white ‘N’ branding. I especially love the wild west New Balance branding on the insole. Made in the U.S.A., this shoe also gets a premium price: $250 USD. The question is, would you really choose the Jordan Shine over this?
