Perhaps the standout model from adidas’ Never Made Collection of hybrid models, the 98 x Crazy BYW is a modern Boost-equipped update to one of Kobe Bryant’s best adidas signature shoes, the 1998 KB8 II.
Renamed the Crazy 2 in 2014, the latest build is part of the “Genetically Modified ’90s Tech” series in the Never Made Collection. The adidas 98 X Crazy BYW is no longer a shoe for the hardwood (although I hope that doesn’t stop fans from trying) and instead a contemporary “basketball style” shoe.
Equipped with a mesh upper and leather overlays, the adidas 98 X Crazy BYW rides atop the Crazy BYW X tooling — and that means there’s caged Boost in the forefoot. Additionally, the rubber outsole is solid rubber, not translucent, so there should be no issues with durability.
The adidas 98 X Crazy BYW is available at BaitMe.com and adidas.com for $170 in men’s sizes 6 to 13.

How did the original model fit? These may be my honorable mention if I strike out on the AJ33s tomorrow.
the only issue I have with this iteration is the way how the midsole overlap over that plastic side panel which made it look like a mistake in the design. they could have atleast cut some portions to make the side panel look more natural or just remove the whole plastic side panel. other than that, the shoe looks dope.
adidas website has sizes 5 thru 14
dont know why they didnt just do a proper retro to begin w/. give us real 90s FYW
